Training Workshops

The U.S. Census Bureau in partnership with the state will be offering LUCA (Local Update of Census Addresses) training workshops in the coming months.  These regionally located workshops are designed for local governments to learn the details of updating the U.S. Census Bureau’s confidential Master Address File (MAF).

Participants will learn the processes necessary for updating the Census Bureau’s Master Address File and for making map edits.  Fundamentals will be reviewed and procedures will be learned through both classroom and hands-on exercises.  An overview of the Census Bureau’s proprietary MAF/TIGER partnership software application will also be included in the training.

There is no registration fee for the workshops.  To stay up to date on the workshop schedule and other LUCA developments, visit LUCA.FLCensus.gov and sign up to be a member of Florida’s LUCA Online Forum.

If your community is interested in hosting a LUCA training workshop, please contact us by email at: (LUCA@flcensus.gov) or call us at 850.487.1402 or toll-free at 1.877.435.5822.
